-the fall semester finished up very well; finals were great, I'm pleased with grades, etc.
-Christmas was delightful. I especially enjoyed playing with my little cousin Makenzie, who at 5 years old is great for chasing, tickling, stories, and the like. I also enjoyed my new gloves and SmartWool socks. It feels as though I'm walking on chinchillas...pure bliss.
-Thanksgiving trip to Tennessee to reunite with old friends and have adventure. Great people, great places.
-participated in a Student Leadership Forum, which took me to places such as the Governor's Mansion and the new prison. Wonderful people, great adventure.
And now I write again, as the Spring 2010 semester begins to peek above the horizon. I am looking forward to having a busy, structured schedule; the copious amounts of free time have left me quite frustrated at times. It's as though I've taken a forced break, much like an elderly postal worker being forced into retirement. Except without the pension, AARP membership, and a passionate rage against remote controls. The involuntary break has in fact been good for me. I'm prone to saturating my life with whatever productive activity I can, and not having to be productive has been very beneficial to me.
...although I DID start studying a week ago. LSAT in June. I'm looking forward to taking another standardized test. Weird, yes, but an opportunity to further my education and see where I might end up. The possibilities are endless...although at this point there are two schools that I have my eye on. I shant mention them at this time.
This semester I am doing an internship at the State Capitol of Missouri, pictured below. The flora you see will probably be absent until May.
I will be working with a state representative who shall remain anonymous for blogging purposes. I shall hereby refer to him (or her) as "He (or She) who must not be named," not for negative reasons, mind you, but positive ones.I'm very excited about the impending internship, though I will not post much about it for reasons of privacy and security.
I'm looking forward to the semester ahead. No summer plans as of yet, but there are some possibilities.
Last semester was all about trust.
