Absence, Apology, Explanation

Well, it looks like someone has some explaining to do.

"Why haven't you updated your blog?"
"Where are the D-Focus videos?"
"So you not love us anymore?"
"Have you developed that robot kidney yet?"

...All valid questions, I admit. This semester has been busy, to say the least. Here's a brief rundown of my scheduling this semester:

Intern at Missouri State Capitol Monday and Wednesday, 8-4 (work out after)
Young Life Sunday, Monday, and Wednesday nights
Either 3 hours and 45 minutes or 4 hours and 35 minutes of class on Tuesdays and Thursdays
Volunteering in a Kindergarten classroom up to 3 days a week
Studying for the LSAT
A ridiculous amount of papers, including Study Abroad paperwork
General mischief and shenanigans

In short, I've been busy. I'm currently sprinting through the academic finish line, 3 weeks from the end of the semester. Then I get to be a groomsman for my friend Ryan, pictured on the left. Note the manly (albeit fake) facial hair.

After much paperwork and waiting, my 2010 schedule has finally taken shape.

Summer Plans
This summer I will be doing a Congressional internship program in Washington, DC. I am very excited, but I have no idea what I've gotten myself into. Hooray!

Fall Plans
After a ridiculous amount of waiting, I got accepted into Trinity College Dublin for the fall semester. This means that I get to be a foreign exchange student in Ireland, a dream come true! Now I can do all sorts of foreigny things, like speak in accents, wear cowboy hats, and make up fictional American traditions and sayings in the stylings of Yakov Smirnoff! "In Midwest America, football kick YOU!" Oh, the possibilities are endless!

Also, it has become my mission to bring back the vest. The vest is an oft-overlooked formal garment, heavily underutilized in our iPod-filled culture. Darn kids and their leather jackets...
